(HALIFAX, N.S.) Dalhousie Tigers women's volleyball setter Courtney Baker and StFX X-Men goaltender Chase Marchand have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Courtney Baker from the Dalhousie Tigers women’s volleyball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending March 18, 2018.
A third-year setter from Bridgewater, N.S., Baker led the Tigers in two hard-fought losses at the U SPORTS women’s volleyball championship this past weekend.
She had 35 assists, 13 digs, five kills, four block assists and three aces in the Tigers 3-2 loss to the No. 3-ranked UBC Thunderbirds in U SPORTS quarter-final action.
A U SPORTS first team all-Canadian, Baker added 22 assists and eight digs in the Tigers 3-0 loss to the Montreal Carabins in the consolation semifinal.

Chase Marchand of the U SPORTS silver medalist StFX X-Men is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending March 18, 2018.
A second-year goaltender from Halifax, N.S., Marchand was named the U SPORTS Goaltender of the Year this week, in addition to being honoured as a U SPORTS first team all-Canadian.
He backstopped the X-Men to a silver medal at the national championship hosted this past weekend by UNB in Fredericton, N.B.
In the 6-2 quarterfinal win over Brock he made 23 saves, followed up with an impressive 42 save performance in a 5-4 overtime win in the semifinals over the top-ranked UNB Varsity Reds.
In the gold medal game Chase received player of the game honours with 23 saves in a tough 4-2 loss to Alberta.
