Acadia's MacKenzie and UNB's Walker named Subway AUS Athletes of the Week

(HALIFAX, N.S.) Acadia Axewomen rugby winger Maddie MacKenzie and UNB Reds men's soccer striker Dan Walker have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Maddie MacKenzie of the Acadia Axewomen rugby team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 30, 2018.
A senior winger from Peterborough, Ont., MacKenzie scored four tries in Acadia’s 66-0 home win over the Saint Mary’s Huskies Friday in Wolfville, N.S.
With the win, the Axewomen move to 3-1 on the season.

Dan Walker of the UNB Reds men’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Sept. 30, 2018.
A fourth-year striker from Fredericton, N.B., Walker scored three goals and added two assists in a pair of weekend wins for the Reds.
In Saturday’s home win over Saint Mary’s, he scored twice and was named Subway Player of the Game.
He added another goal and two assists Sunday in the Reds’ 5-1 win over UPEI in Charlottetown, P.E.I.
