Sea-Hawks move into playoff position with weekend sweep

With a weekend sweep of the UPEI Panthers, the Memorial Sea-Hawks have moved into a playoff position as the AUS Men's Basketball Championships begin to approach. The Sea-Hawks hosted the Panthers to back-to-back games at the Fieldhouse in St. John's, where Memorial earned an 88-69 win on Saturday night, followed by an 88-70 win on Sunday afternoon.

The Saint Mary's Huskies remain undefeated on the season, as they've extended their win streak to 14, and have already clenched a playoff berth. The Huskies visited the Acadia Axemen in Wolfville this weekend, where they topped the Axemen 103-93 on Thursday evening, then earned a 96-70 win over Acaida on Saturday night.

The UNB Reds currently sit in second behind the Huskies in the AUS standings after earning a weekend sweep over the StFX X-Men. The Reds played to a 80-60 win on Friday night, followed by a 92-71 victory on Saturday evening.

The Dalhousie Tigers also earned a weekend sweep as they visited the Cape Breton Capers for back-to-back games this weekend. Dalhousie topped Cape Breton 93-84 on Saturday night, followed by a 77-68 win on Sunday afternoon.
