Reds finish regular season with weekend sweep

With an 8-2 victory over the StFX X-Men and a 4-2 win over the Dalhousie Tigers, the first-place UNB Reds finished the AUS men's hockey regular season with a weekend sweep. The Reds ended the season with an impressive 25-2-3 record, to finish with 53 points and clinch a first round bye in the playoffs. 

The UPEI Panthers also ended the season with a sweep, as they topped the Tigers 5-2 on Friday evening, then went on to earn a 4-1 win over the X-Men in Charlottetown on Saturday night.

The Saint Mary's Huskies fell 4-3 at home to the Acadia Axemen on Wednesday night, but bounced back against the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleus with a 7-3 win on Saturday to clinch a first round bye in the playoffs.

The Aigles Bleus split their weekend games, as they earned a 2-1 victory over the Axemen in Wolfville Friday night.
